Safety & Liability Your baby means the world to you, and that is why you choose to "wear" him/her! Rose?s Baby Slings is delighted to help you when it comes to babywearing, but there are some things that you need to take into account! Common sense when wearing your baby is the most important thing! Before using your sling/pouch/carrier each time, make sure you thoroughly check it over. Check all seams and stitching. If there is any torn, broken, ripped or frayed seams or edges, DO NOT USE YOUR SLING as it could result in your baby falling and being injured. The sling is not intended to replace any safety devices required by law such as car/bicycle seats and will not protect your child from injury in the event of an accident. If you are using your sling in water, take extreme care. A sling is not a flotation device or lifesaving device, and should not be used in any such way. Wearing a baby while cooking or tending a fire can be very dangerous. This puts the baby at a level where he/she can be burned by a hot stove, oven, food or fireplace. Do not use the sling as a blanket or otherwise leave your child unattended with the sling. The child could become entangled in the sling and suffer harm. Be very careful when trying new positions. Supporting the baby in the sling with one hand until you are certain the hold is secure is a very good idea. Most positions can be worn hands-free, but some require extra support. Check your child often to be sure he/she has not slipped or wiggled free from a safe position. If your toddler is not happy being in the sling, don't use it. An uncooperative toddler can easily jump out of a sling if you are not careful. Please use your sling wisely. Babywearing is a wonderful experience for both you and your baby! Rose?s Baby Slings will not take any responsibility or be held liable for any damage or injury from use or misuse of any of its products.
